On the planet Vash-ti, the inaugural "Post-Burn Unity Summit" is shattered when a specialized Emerald Chain strike team infiltrates the central rotunda. Led by the calculating Orion Commander Gail’a, the team has taken six Federation representatives hostage—each of whom are from a different key member world. The rotunda has been converted into a sensory-deprived fortress; all sensors, cameras, and external communications have been systematically neutralized.
Gail’a has issued a chilling ultimatum: she demands a fully fueled, long-range transport vessel and a clear flight path out of the system. If Starfleet intervenes or the clock hits the sixty-minute mark, the diplomats will be executed, and the rotunda will be leveled. For a Federation struggling to maintain its fragile borders, the deaths of these six leaders would be a catastrophic blow to its credibility and would ignite long-simmering tensions among the member worlds.
As the crew arrives on-site, they are effectively blind. They must engage Gail’a in a tense war of words, attempting to discern the team’s true strength, their escape route, and the layout of the booby-trapped rotunda - all while the commander pushes them toward a breaking point, testing their commitment to the "no-win" scenario.
With the clock ticking and a ruthless enemy who anticipates every tactical maneuver, the crew must decide: do they yield to the demands of a terrorist syndicate, or do they risk everything on a desperate, high-risk breach to save the representatives of their own union? |
