Flashpoint - Short Treks
Post Count: 0A century of isolation forged brutal grudges, and the post-Burn galaxy is a lethal place to hold them.
As Starfleet fights to rebuild a shattered Federation, a routine training exercise is launched to integrate former regional rivals, but when a sudden, violent ion flare tears through, what was meant to be a simple tactical drill rapidly descends into a nightmare.
Deep within a surging ion storm, systems fail, Warp Drives go dark, and subspace communications collapse. Trapped aboard the Andorian starship Vol’Rala, Captain Azizi sh'Cholar’s crew is blind to the void outside. When ionic discharges batter the hull, compromised tactical computers feed a devastating lie to the bridge: they are under targeted attack by their exercise partner, the Ni’Varian vessel Khazara, commanded by Captain Paafith.
With old Andorian paranoia ignited and sensors unable to distinguish between lightning-like ionic bolts and incoming phaser fire, sh'Cholar orders an immediate counterassault. Now, two Starfleet vessels are dodging tumbling asteroids, riding turbulence, and trading live fire in the dark.
As false targeting data pushes both crews toward point-blank range, a handful of officers are caught in the middle of a spiraling firefight. To stop a bloody end, they must restore fried systems, bypass corrupted computer networks, and cool hot-headed commanders before a single misunderstanding destroys two starships—and shatters the fragile peace of a newly reunited galaxy.
Prologue
Post Count: 30Homecoming
Post Count: 42For over a century, Earth has been a fortress of solitude, a world that turned its back on the stars in the wake of The Burn. But the devastating wake of the DMA crisis has finally shattered that isolation. In a historic and fragile move, Earth has officially petitioned to rejoin the Federation, signaling a return to the alliance it once founded. To bridge this century-wide gap, a legendary former Starfleet Officer has been called back into active service, tasked with navigating the cutthroat diplomacy and deep-seated tensions of the reunification talks. But as the ink dries on the preliminary charters in San Francisco, a shadow has fallen over the cradle of humanity that threatens to permanently silence its heart.
A master criminal has bypassed the vaunted United Earth Defense Force systems, unleashing a sophisticated computer virus that is systematically dismantling the planet’s vital infrastructure. From the massive weather control arrays that hold back the rising tides to the orbital power grids that fuel the megacities, the digital nervous system of Earth is being flayed alive. This isn't just an act of terror; it is a calculated deconstruction of a world that had only just begun to lower its shields.
To make matters worse, a lethal, fast-acting plague has been unleashed upon the population. This engineered biological nightmare is spreading with a virulence that defies local medical protocols, turning the dream of reunification into a struggle for basic survival. With the planet’s resources stretched to the breaking point and the formal Federation alliance not yet codified, Earth finds itself in a desperate race against time. The hospitals are failing, the quarantine zones are crumbling, and the very seat of the future is on the brink of becoming a graveyard.
The mission is clear, and the stakes have never been higher for the returning diplomat and their team. They must infiltrate the corrupted global mainframe to hunt down the rogue code and stabilize the life-support grids before the planet’s systems go dark forever. Simultaneously, Starfleet must navigate a world gripped by panic and sickness to synthesize a cure for this mysterious plague. Earth survived the Burn and the terror of the DMA, but it will not survive this without a miracle from the stars.

Scapegoat
Post Count: 0A high-profile diplomatic transport should be a routine assignment, but in a galaxy rebuilding after a century of isolation, peace is a fragile illusion.
En route to Ni’Var to finalize a crucial treaty between Trill and Vulcan leadership, the crew plays host to Sunhial Tiax, a high-ranking Trill attorney. Tensions immediately simmer aboard the ship as old cultural prejudices resurface -particularly among Andorian crew members, whose home world outlawed the legal profession centuries ago. But cultural friction turns to outright crisis hours before arrival, when Sunhial Tiax is found brutally murdered in their quarters, killed by a plasma torch stolen from engineering.
With all eyes pointing toward the outspoken Andorian security personnel, the ship becomes a pressure cooker of suspicion and diplomatic dread. Demands for justice roll in from Trill representatives, while the Andorian crew fiercely resists what they see as a targeted witch hunt.
As the security team fights through a maze of tampered logs, planted evidence, and sabotaged tool kits, they begin to uncover a far more sinister truth: a quiet campaign of xenophobic sabotage orchestrated from within Starfleet’s own ranks.
In a race against time before a major diplomatic catastrophe erupts, the crew must unmask a insidious conspirator on their own decks - before the killer strikes again, escapes into the void, or tears the fragile new Federation apart from the inside.
Static
Post Count: 0One compromised secret can ignite a war. One transmission can end a peace.
Ambassador Nilaalk, a prominent Ni'Varian statesman, is en route to Bajor to navigate the delicate, shifting politics of the post-Burn sector. But the Ambassador carries a heavy burden: he is in the early, volatile stages of Bendii Syndrome. In a moment of neurological vulnerability, Nilaalk inadvertently leaked sensitive, classified personal journals to a covert operative.
Now, those journals are in the hands of the Venari Ral—a ruthless criminal syndicate notorious for turning galactic instability into pure profit. The logs contain inflammatory, out-of-context geopolitical theories that characterize the Federation’s post-Burn cooperation with Bajor as a cynical, colonial ploy to manipulate the planet’s spiritual autonomy and extract rare resources.
The Venari Ral have seized control of a remote subspace relay station near the Bajoran sector, intending to broadcast these journals across the entire subsector. Their goal is not ideology, but chaos: by inciting a militant Bajoran uprising against the Federation, they intend to shatter the fragile Bajoran-Federation treaty and create a power vacuum, allowing the syndicate to seize control of vital trade routes and supply chains.
As the crew arrives at the relay station, they find it trapped in a lethal logic-loop—life support is failing, the station is a tomb of dead personnel, and a high-level Venari Ral slicer is fighting a desperate digital war to override the facility’s safeties and initiate the broadcast.
With only five hours until the transmission becomes inevitable, the crew must board the derelict station, neutralize the digital threat, and navigate the treacherous landscape of a post-Burn galaxy. The clock is ticking, the Bajoran militia is on high alert, and the truth—or at least, a dangerous version of it—is about to go live.
